A Hell That Doesn't Burn

Remembering anything feels like a curse;
Forgetting doesn’t feel like much of a blessing.
Either way, we keep feeling worse and worse.
God keeps teaching us the same lessons—

But we never learn.

The same path we always take, covered in snow,
But the same mistakes lie frozen in the dirt,
Waiting to be found like some ancient thing unknown.
To us, to them, to everyone—
in a hell that doesn’t burn.
